Route to contract

Buy direct, or through frameworks you already use

2CRSi Edge supplies direct as standard. Where a framework route is needed, it works with partners who hold the routes government buyers use, including CCS TePAS RM6098 (Lots 1–4) and Technology Products 2 RM6147. The frameworks are held by those partners, not by 2CRSi Edge, so buyers already on them do not need to onboard a new supplier. 2CRSi Edge stays responsible for the solution and its lifecycle.

Controlled firmware and configuration:

Firmware and configuration records support traceability and controlled change throughout the system's service life.

Does your edge server need hardware modifications for deployment?

Most deployment requirements can be addressed through system configuration and software integration. Changes to the physical hardware require a separate engineering assessment.

STANDARD CONFIGURATION

Software configured. Hardware unchanged.

Tranquil Services prepares the server for deployment while retaining the standard hardware design and approved configuration.

  • Operating system and hypervisor installation

  • Application and software image deployment

  • Firmware and system configuration

  • Asset labelling, branding and identification

Edge Server FAQs

Technical guidance on compatibility, power, operating conditions, mounting and warranty.

Which edge servers support VMware ESXi?

The FSM-EP4S-50 lists VMware ESXi 7.0 U3g and 8.0 U2b. The FRS-XD2-50 lists VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V Server. Confirm supported versions and configurations against the relevant product documentation.

What power input do the edge servers require?

All platforms use a 12 V input. The FSM-EP4S-50 uses a DC jack, while the FS-EP3S-50 and FRS-XD2-50 use Phoenix connectors.

Are redundant power supply options available?

The FS-EP3S-50 supports an optional second power supply. The FRS-XD2-50 datasheet describes redundant power and shows two power inputs, but does not list a second supply as an accessory. Contact our engineering team to confirm the available configuration.

What are the operating temperature ranges?

The FSM-EP4S-50 and FS-EP3S-50 are specified for operation from −10°C to 50°C. The FRS-XD2-50 is specified for operation from 0°C to 60°C.

What mounting options are available?

The FSM-EP4S-50 supports optional rack, wall and anti-vibration mounts. The FRS-XD2-50 is designed for full-width rack installation. Contact our engineering team to discuss mounting requirements for other installations.

What warranty and compliance markings apply?

The edge servers carry a three-year warranty and list CE, UKCA, RoHS, FCC and WEEE markings. Confirm any additional compliance requirements relevant to your application before deployment.

How do we buy edge servers for a defence programme?

2CRSi Edge supplies direct as standard. Where a framework route is needed, you can buy through partner-held frameworks. Whichever route you use, 2CRSi Edge stays responsible for the solution and its lifecycle.

Which procurement frameworks can we use?

Our partners’ frameworks include CCS TePAS RM6098 (Lots 1–4) and Technology Products 2 RM6147. These frameworks are held by our partners, not by 2CRSi Edge.

What support is available for procurement and compliance?

The Secure Deployment Package covers deployment, secure build, software bill of materials (SBOM), build records and acceptance testing. Tranquil Services also provides compliance documentation, governance support and procurement and framework support through partners. Ask our team which documents your programme needs.

Size the server to the workload.

Specify the applications, virtualisation requirements, memory, storage, network interfaces and available installation space. Our engineering team will recommend a suitable edge server and configuration based on your workload, connectivity and deployment requirements.
