Tranquil Studio is the custom design and manufacturing division within 2CRSi Edge, supporting organisations with edge computing requirements that extend beyond standard products. From adapting proven Tranquil platforms to developing fully bespoke systems, we apply the right level of engineering for every project.

You don't need to arrive with a finished product specification. We work with you to understand your application, operating environment and performance requirements, then recommend the most appropriate approach whether that's refining an existing platform or creating a completely new design.

Our goal is to make custom hardware development straightforward and predictable, providing a structured path from initial concept through engineering, manufacture, deployment and long-term support.

Tranquil Studio is the bespoke design and manufacturing solution family within 2CRSi Edge. It supports the full spectrum of custom edge computing needs, from straightforward adaptations of existing Tranquil platforms through to fully bespoke system designs, through a structured, predictable and low-friction path from requirements to a deployed and supported system.

No. You do not need to arrive with a complete or finalised product definition. Tranquil Studio works collaboratively to review the use case, operating environment and performance requirements, then determines the most appropriate approach adapting proven platforms, combining standard and bespoke elements, or developing a fully custom design.

There is no minimum order quantity. Studio uses established manufacturing methods that make single units and low-to-medium volumes viable.

When a requirement cannot be met by configuring a standard platform and engineering change is needed mechanical, thermal, electronic, form factor or certification baseline. 2CRSi Edge prioritises standard platforms first and controlled configuration second; Studio is used when genuine engineering change is required, under a governed scope with clear decision gates.

Under OEM we design and build to your exact specification and you own the design; under ODM we provide an existing or co-developed design you brand as your own, which cuts development time and cost. See the engagement-models section above.

COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) is a standard product you configure. Custom ruggedised hardware is engineered to your specification when a COTS product cannot meet the environmental, mechanical or commercial requirement.

Design, manufacturing, assembly and test are UK-based in Manchester.
