2CRSi Edge is the edge computing arm of 2CRSi, focused on the design, manufacture and deployment of reliable, energy‑efficient edge computing systems for demanding real‑world environments. Building on decades of engineering expertise, we help organisations process data closer to where it is generated — improving performance, reducing latency and increasing resilience.
Through our Tranquil portfolio, we deliver pre‑configured platforms, advanced edge AI systems, and bespoke engineered solutions, supporting customers across industrial, transport, defence, infrastructure and AI‑driven applications.
Built on Tranquil Engineering Heritage
Founded in Manchester in 2003, Tranquil IT was established to address a clear challenge: standard computers fail in harsh, space‑constrained and mission‑critical environments. Since then, Tranquil has specialised in rugged, fanless and low‑maintenance computing systems, designed to operate reliably where conventional IT cannot.
Tranquil’s engineering DNA remains central to 2CRSi Edge today. We continue to design and manufacture our systems with a focus on:

Tranquil IT — Proven Edge Platforms
Tranquil IT delivers pre‑configured edge computing systems, including fanless, waterproof and in‑vehicle platforms. These systems are production‑ready, long‑lifecycle and optimised for rapid deployment in demanding environments.
Tranquil AI — Intelligence at the Edge
Tranquil AI focuses on edge AI and vision systems, combining rugged hardware with modern AI accelerators to enable real‑time analytics where cloud processing is impractical or undesirable. These solutions are designed for reliability, low power consumption and autonomous operation.
Tranquil Studio — Bespoke Edge Engineering
Tranquil Studio provides an end‑to‑end custom edge computing design and manufacturing service. Working collaboratively with customers, we support everything from early concept and thermal design through to production, certification and lifecycle management — with low MOQs and no tooling fees.
Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality
We believe edge computing should be engineered properly, not adapted as an afterthought. Our capabilities include in‑house design, thermal simulation, enclosure manufacturing, system integration, testing and validation. Many of our chassis are produced internally, enabling tight quality control and rapid iteration.
